Our Work
The ACE Team conducts programming to promote more competitive elections, starting locally in Colorado. Below you will find recent projects and activities, including our recent 2025 Fort Collins Local Exit Poll, our 2025 Colorado Limited Election Observation, and much more to come!
ACE conducted a non-probability exit poll of Fort Collins voters during the November 1–5, 2025 local election, the city’s first to use ranked choice voting. Seven trained interviewers collected 85 responses at three high-traffic ballot drop boxes to capture voter experiences, preferences, and views on RCV. The results provide a snapshot of how voters engaged with the new system and how they perceive minor-party and independent candidates.
Colorado Local Limited Election Observation
ACE conducted a limited local election observation mission in Fort Collins, Boulder, and Longmont during the 2025 municipal election period. Operating in a private-citizen capacity due to Colorado’s observer restrictions, the team conducted qualitative interviews with candidates, campaign staff, officials, and civic organizations to assess the competitiveness and accessibility of local elections. The mission provides an early foundation for more robust observation efforts in future cycles.

Coalition-Building
ACE holds periodic activities to build connections and encourage coalition-building among parties for cnabling policy changes that provide more competitive choices to voters.
Party Trainings
Starting 2026, ACE will begin offering trainings to political parties to support the development of a more competitive elections ecosystem.
