Election Observation
Making multiparty democracy viable means ensuring that parties are free to compete and every vote is cast and counted fairly. ACE conducts formal, standards-based election observation missions using methodologies drawn from international practice.
Upcoming: 2026 Midterm Election Observation
ACE will conduct a limited observation mission during the October–November 2026 midterm elections, including exit polling and public reporting. We are also advocating for a formal nonpartisan election observation framework in Colorado law and for an invitation to the OSCE Office for Democratic Institutions and Human Rights (ODIHR) to observe the 2026 Midterm Election.
How to Support
We are looking for volunteer election observers to take part in our citizen observation mission this October and November. We’ll give you the tools and knowledge you need to be safe and effective on the ground. Sign up today and join fellow volunteers on a mission to keep our elections fair and competitive!
2025 Local Election Observation
In November 2025, ACE conducted Colorado’s first formal domestic election observation, examining municipal elections in Fort Collins, Boulder, and Longmont (October 20 – November 4, 2025). We evaluated electoral rules, campaign regulations, and administrative practices shaping candidate competition.

We observed professional, transparent election administration with no credible fraud, intimidation, or malfunction. Our report identified structural concerns and published recommendations to the Colorado General Assembly and to the municipalities of Fort Collins, Boulder, and Longmont.
