Colorado has 10 registered political parties, and chances are, one of them reflects your values. Explore the eight minor parties below.

American Constitution Party

Minor party (state affiliate of national Constitution Party) committed to strictly adhering to the U.S. Constitution's original intent; opposes abortion, promotes fiscal responsibility, rejects international entanglements, and seeks to "secure life, liberty, and the Constitution" against both major parties' overreach.

Approval Voting Party

Minor party centered on electoral reform, specifically promoting approval voting to replace plurality systems; argues it reduces vote-splitting, elects more representative candidates, and enhances voter choice without ideological litmus tests.

Colorado Center Party

Minor party positioning itself as a pragmatic centrist alternative, focusing on unity, anti-corruption, and evidence-based policies; critiques polarization and aims to bridge divides with balanced approaches to economy, environment, and governance.

Colorado Forward Party

Minor party (linked to national Forward Party, founded by Andrew Yang's Forward initiative) emphasizing electoral reforms like ranked-choice voting, open primaries, and non-partisan redistricting; prioritizes problem-solving over partisanship, with focuses on economy, healthcare, and democracy.

Green Party of Colorado

Minor party rooted in environmental sustainability, social justice, grassroots democracy, and non-violence; pushes for Green New Deal-style policies, universal healthcare, and campaign finance reform to counter corporate influence.

Libertarian Party of Colorado

Minor party championing individual liberty, free markets, minimal government intervention, criminal justice reform, and peace; opposes victimless crime laws, income taxes, and foreign wars, led by Chair Keith Laube.

Colorado Party

Minor party promoting bipartisan solutions and centrist governance; focuses on fiscal responsibility, national security, energy independence, and reducing political gridlock, as part of the national No Labels movement

Unity Party of Colorado

Minor party advocating unity across divides, with platforms on balanced budgets, healthcare access, environmental stewardship, and electoral reforms; emphasizes collaboration and practical governance over ideology.
